Flowing XSL-FO into a Composition Engine

(Maybe best of both worlds)

• Run XSL-FO stylesheet to make formatting objects
• Open results in a composition engine
• If content change, change XML and reflow
• Make non-content tweaks inside the composition system
  • graphics placement
  • column balancing
  • floats, keeps, widow, orphans
• Several engines allow this (XyEnterprise, Arbortext, etc.)
